The black bamboo has a dark appearance. Sometimes speckled colouring. It is the actual colour of the bamboo and has not been coloured. The sound differs from the natural bamboo. The A and Bb are suitable for smaller hands and younger children. The G (tenor) is the most popular choice for beginners and seasoned players.
